Rene is a Founding Partner of Genioo and is responsible for overall US operations, working closely with our Client Service and Business Development leads to serve existing clients and expand our client base in the US. He also leads Genioo’s product and content development activities.
Rene has more than 25 years of experience in management consulting with a strong focus on strategy, operational improvements and change management in Pharma, BioTech and Medical Devices.
Rene is passionate about people development and capability building, whether it’s helping to grow and develop the Genioo team, qualifying and collaborating with our global network of independent professionals, or working closely with client teams to help them develop capabilities that allow them to drive critical initiatives to success.

Previous experience
Rene has focused on serving Pharma, BioTech and MedTech companies for the majority of the last 15 years. He supports programs and projects across all key functions, often with a focus on transformation, change and capability building.
Prior to co-founding Genioo in 2012, Rene was a Partner at a-connect, and has held operational leadership roles at two technology companies. He started his career post MBA at McKinsey, where he worked for 5 years in the US and Switzerland.
Education
Rene holds a MBA Degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. .
Languages - Native German, fluent in English, proficient in French
Interests
Rene is originally from Switzerland, but has lived in the US for over twenty years in the Boston area. In his spare time, Rene likes to travel across the world, in particular enjoying the best of Switzerland and the US. He is also very passionate about sustainability, both in his personal life and in business. He loves to read and take his dogs to the beach.
